Immunization and Vaccine Hesitancy: How Interpreters and Healthcare Providers Work Together

  • 08/10/2019
  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Freeman building, 625 N. Robert St., St. Paul, MN

This session will invite pediatric providers and interpreters to explore clinical interactions around immunizations with families who use interpreters. Key topics will be the role and strengths that each profession brings to the clinic visit, strategies for how to move forward when communication is unclear during the clinic visit, and promising practices in engaging with patients and communities who may be vaccine-hesitant. The session is jointly presented by the Minnesota Department of Health and partners.

We have created a separate registration for interpreters and for providers to try to balance participants. Please send the appropriate link based on your recipients. If the registration fills, people will be automatically directed to the corresponding wait list.
